ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HOMONYMY AND SYNONYMY IN THE AUXILIARY PARTS OF SPEECH IN THE AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between homonymy and synonymy in the auxiliary parts of speech of the Azerbaijani language. In the course of the research, the author relies on descriptive and descriptive-comparative methods of linguistics. The main purpose of this article is to identify the cause of the relationship of homonymy and synonymy between auxiliary words of the Azerbaijani language. All the linguistic facts analyzed in this article are examined in a comparative coverage with the Russian language. During the analysis of linguistic facts, it is noted that homonymy and synonymy of auxiliary words is associated with their multifunctionality. At the end of the article, the author summarizes the results and and notes that this issue requires a broader and more detailed study in the future.
