Abstract

The article examines the features of German public political speech. In recent years, more and more people have become interested in the situation on the world political arena, while linguists begin to study socio-political texts. Despite a fairly large number of works on the problem of public political speech, there is new material for study that will complement existing research. The study presents the results of an analysis of the features of German public political speech based on the speeches of the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. In the course of the study, the article features conclusions on the characteristic features of German public political speech that confirm the results presented in the work of the German linguist J. Klein [8].
