NATIONAL ORIGINS AND EARLY EXAMPLES OF LITERARY POEMS IN TATAR POETRY

Abstract

The article examines the national origins and early examples of literary poems in the Tatar poetry. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that it introduces the primal phenomena that clarify the essential nature of poems as a genre. The obtained results showed that the genesis of the poem genre in the Tatar poetry is associated with a form of a folk epic – dastan. Lyric-epic traditions developed by national folklore became the foundation for the creation of early common Turkic literary poems, particularly, "Kutadgu bilig" (1069/1070) by Yusuf Balasaguni, which reveals poetic canons formed under the influence of Islamic Oriental literature. Subsequently, the medieval Turkic-Tatar poem developed within the framework of these canons.
